Painted Intercooler Design ?

Me and my friend haveing a nice wacky toback-e and we were talking about putting something (*a design or just going all black on the intercooler.)\
anyone done this before

I wouldn't do it...the paint surely can't help heat transfer any.

We have painted intercoolers on all the machines at work, as long as you dont CAKE the fins with paint i'm sure you'd be fine.. but like raptor said, it wont help anything

ya i have a stecil of howard dean in the middle of a BEEYAAA! on my stock one ( i used to skateboard alot and i get bored) and i dont think its hurting any, when i get a fmic ima get a buddy to air brush it i think

there is such a thing as radiator paint, it allows the best heat transfer properties for radiators(aside from no paint of course). none of you have ever seen a painted radiator before?
