Installation. Myriad of questions.

So Im on my S5 1990 TII and basically just have a few questions that I guess I am going to start listing as I work on things tomorrow. I have the engine connected to the transmission, bolted in, and have it mounted to the brackets... I need to start connecting all hoses to and electrical wires to the engine now.

My first questions involves the belts and pulleys. I saved this car from a guy who removed a lot of parts and didn't cap off vacuum hoses and left plenty of bolts out (even the ones that bracket the wastegate to the turbo housing), and I've noticed that the pulley above the air compressor was removed. What is it connected too?

Second question, I removed the air pump because the ACV was "disabled" by the previous owner so I removed that as well and blocked it off with a plate. The question I am asking is do I need to get the dual alternator pulley and some yoohoo belts in order to have this going well and not get any slipping belts?

It looks as though it was the pulley for the power steering pump.

You don't necessarily need to have a dual alternator pulley. I'd say that would be personal preference.

K, so basically I need to find that pulley somewhere and put it on, sounds like I may want power steering...

I kept my power steering for my TII swap. I drove it today without it and it wasn't that hard to deal with. Try driving it with and without. It's totally up to you. It's nice to have, though.

You'd either get a dual alternator pulley and run two alternator belts. OR use a yoohoo belt and a alternator pulley. I like the idea of dual alternator pulleys because if one breaks, both your alternator and water pump still work and won't leave you stranded.

+1 for using the power steering if you have it and it doesn't leak. You can de-power it the correct way later if you want to.

Ok, well Im not exactly sure which belts can with the car because I disassembled it in april and am just now at the stage of getting back to the belts (I went to school for collision repair instead of mechanics, plus this thing has had tons of tamperings done by the last owner as you will see)
So I went to start working on the electrical harness plugging in and I ran into a few speed bumps...
So the first pick I believe is a sensor that runs into the transmission? does it hook to my gauges for RPM or what?
Second picture is of a white wire that was spliced near my ECU and I am pretty sure the section on the right is where it broke, any guesses what it is for? (I do have 5 extra gauges for boost, richness, water tmp etc...)
the third picture is what I believe is what is suppose to be the injector plugs but the 2 grey ones are fine while the black one is only a single port plug and the second "black" one doesn't even have a casing.....Am I confusing this branch of the harness with something else or are my injector plugs just screwed?

Left pic is a ground that attaches to the passenger side firewall. There should be a piece bolted to the firewall with bare metal tab sticking out.

Sorry, not too familiar with the other connectors or the S5 harness.

Here is the next round of questions.
In picture one there is the end of an electric fan that is aftermarket. Im not really sure where this is connected and can't find any obvious connection on the wiring harness. Anyone ever put one of these on and have a good idea of where I should look?

in picture 2 there is a large port on the firewall and I am not sure where that runs to. The ACV, air pump, accelerated start up warm up system, and the charcoal canister have been removed prior to me owning the vehicle. Any clue what this is?

in picture 3 there is a nozzle on the rear side of the upper manifold facing the firewall, does this connected to the hard line that runs along the side of the firewall?

in picture for there are a mess of wires that were below the air compressor and power steering pump on the drivers side. Are these stock or do they go to extra gauges inside? Its too cluttered for me to trace back their origin. Thanks for the help
