I have my interior gutted but would like to be able to drive the car to the shop vs pull out the trailer. Can i install the dash before i install the carpet? I know you need to cut the carpet because of the heater core but mine is already removed. So can i just slide the carpet in place after?

 

you can, you just need to work it back and forth with the bottom part of dash still loose. its kinda a pain but it'll go......................changed 2 carpet sets, man i hate doin it.

You can also slice the carpet "hump" down the middle. Makes it much easier to get underneath the dash.
