Angry unflooding now mechanic says compression ?????

im new to this site ......well I let my car (90 rx7 non turbo) sit all weekend at a friends house while we went out of town....when we came back i moved it to the street ....then i went to leave and it wouldnt start...i take care of her and she never has problems....so i did the unflooding procedures and nothin...then i replaced the spark plugs and did the unflooding procedure without spark plugs then put them in and nothin it just turns ....it sounds like it wants to start put nothin...then after 2 weeks i had a "qualified" mechanic come out and look at it he did everything i did then he did a compression test....he was like theres your problem u arent building enough compression im like no SH**...sorry im a little frustrated...so he leaves and says he will call me back and tell me whats up...he calls me and tells me i was driving with no oil and that burned out 1 of 2 seals....me driving with no oil well if im losing compression i would have had a loss of power before this even happened...so thats where im at i cant get this thing to start and its my only car its been 1 month since RIP please help thanx

Cool

well, take out all the plugs, crank the motor over with all the 2 EGI fuses out (so it wont spray fuel) let all the fuel blow out the spark plug holes. while you are at it, get a skiny funel and put some oil or ATF in one of the holes, this will help her build up some compression. after you do all that and dry off the plugs, then she should fire up after you put in the fuses. sorry is this is confusing....check out kevins site Rotaryresurrection.com good luck man

i agree, top fuse out, floor the car and crank
like 10 seconds at a time, spark plugs out
do it like 3 times
and then use a funnel or whatever and just dump a bunch of oil in both rotors
put spark plugs on, etc, and then just crank it, with your foot on the gas

Pull the lower (leading) plugs and put about an ounce of oil into each chamber. Now, crank the engine over by hand a few times. Repeat, then try to start the car. Severe flooding washes the oil film off the housings, causing little to no compression.

...then after 2 weeks i had a "qualified" mechanic come out and look at it he did everything i did then he did a compression test....he was like theres your problem u arent building enough compression im like no SH**
Which is probably true, but due to the flooding.

me whats up...he calls me and tells me i was driving with no oil and that burned out 1 of 2 seals....
Sounds like he doesn't have any idea what he's talking about. There are 4 oil seals on each rotor, none of which account for any compression. And if you were driving without any oil pressure, you would have seized the engine in a spectacular way.

one thing I've noticed with mine is when doing the unflooding the car will try to start and have a little grab and if I let off the starter that's it it just goes back to needing the unflooding again.
but if I hold it when it tries to start it will continue to go and finally rev to life but it does take a little toll o nthe starter I'm sure since it grinds a little

your S5 ECU has a built in fuel cut when the accelerator is at full throttle, no need to pull the EGI fuse.

your mechanic is a retard, as a few have said and pointed out to get your compression back you need to add a few squirts of oil or ATF to each lower leading plug hole then retry.

Simple. He had his pet goat/girlfriend steer while he pushed, then they popped the clutch.

Nothing...it's the way cartmill "pets" his goat that some would view as irregular. Let's just say they're closer than most people are with their pets.
