input on spec clutch vs act
i have an ACT 6 puck unsprung hub with a heavy duty pressure plate on my other TII. I really like the feel and the engagement, but for street driving something with a sprung hub will probably be better on my transmission life, but the same pedal pressure would be nice. Plus I was looking at maybe a SPEC clutch kit.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience to compare an ACT setup similar to mine with the spec stage 3 or 3+ clutch kit, primarily info on the clutch pedal force and feel with the pressure plates they offer.

one of my buddies had a spec stage 4.. i know a few guys that work for spec so obviously i am gona rep them but i really like there clutches and im definately gona get one for my FC once i need one
Ive used many Spec clutches as they are made only a 20 minute drive from my house. Every one I have owned has worked very well. Stage 2 I had, had a close to stock pedal feel with a much harder clamping force and faster grab. I loved it. I also have used ACT and I was not at all impressed, though many people will tell you they are the best. I just dont agree, since the main reason is probably because they are so much easier to find and buy therefor there are alot more of them on the road
well my friends stage 4 was a really nice clutch... i helped him install it and drove it the next day... it was easy to tell when it was clamping...very tough and strong... it was a really fast grab but i think for a daily driver the most i would go to would be the stage 3
