Inner tie rod play...

I have noticed I have inner tie rod play on my manual rack. I took the outer rod off the spindle and pushed and pulled it and there was play on the rod that goes into the manual rack.

I looked on Autozone and it lists an inner tie rod for fifty. Anybody done this repair?

I know you can buy a used manual rack for 100 bucks...that is what I did and here I am.

Edit:

Is this what I seek?

I was looking thru the FSM. It seems like I can just unscrew that after I remove some pins.

Thanks to tinvestor - He said I should be able to remove this part with the rack still in the car.

I just ordered the inner tie rod from Mazda Motor Sports.

We shall see how this goes.
