Aside from the plastic pintle caps being broken off, what's wrong with them?

Missing pintle caps will not cause the injectors not to open up ...

I guess the point I'm trying to make is, How are we supposed to tell that your injectors are screwed up by a series of pictures? .. from the pictures they certainly look fine to me (Aside from the missing pintle caps, but those won't matter anyways)

Question. Why do you say they won't open? And, can you read the numbers on the side near the jack on the injectors. Do they end with a number like -1370?

Can you jumper a ground and a 12v source to them and make them click?

You can buy new pintle caps from Mazdatrix. I did, but they didn't fit my injectors right. They were too long. I had to trim them down with an exacto knife to get them to fit like the OEM ones.

Our local NAPA here in town rebuilds/cleans injectors. I've brought them 4 injectors on Saturday morning, gone to have lunch and run errands, then come back and they're ready to go - cleaned, painted, new pintle caps, new grommets and O-rings for like $20 an injector.

Most towns will have some place that cleans injectors - it's worth looking around.

The pintle caps are just there to protect the injector tips - that's it. They won't affect how the injector works.
