Question Injectors

I was wondering if there is anyway to test or check the primary injectors on the car without removing the intake system. I'm only guessing I have and injector problem. 89 non-turbo. The car starts on one rotor only then after 30 or 40 seconds the other one fires up and then it runs ok ecept or a little surging idle. I've done compression tests, fuel pressure tests, leaking injector tests, and all ignition tests. Everything is ok, even did the computer in the left kickpanel. Any ideas, I was thinking maybe a clogged injector and then after 30 or 40 seconds it lets some fuel threw. Going crazy

Can't think of a way to run any tests on them while the intake is on, but if you suspect them, why not just replace them. You can pick up a pair of Python remanufactured injectors for about $40 a piece through Fuel Injection Warehouse ( www.fuelparts.com ), or send the set you have out to be cleaned, tested, and balanced.

You can check them to the factory manual. You can take the two bolts out of the secondary rail and lift the injectors out of the bores. Zip tie the injectors to the rail. Build a harness with two wires going to a spare injector plug. Put a alligator clip on each end. One alligator to batt ground. Place a container under the injector to be testedl Put the spare injector plug on the injector. Jumper your fuel pump to work by jumpering the yellow plug on the r/h strut tower. Turn the key on. Put the other alligator to the positive batt post. Wait exactly 15 seconds and disconnect the alligator leads. Pour the contents into a graduated measuring cup. Compare the results with the figures in the manual.
Also, with the fuel rail pressurized and the injector turned off, look for leakage. None allowed. One fault with that part of the test is that the injectors are not up to their running temp, and things act differently when hot or extremely cold.
