Injector wiring continuity

Ok so I've decided to measure resistance in the fuel injector wiring circuit. I started by unplugging injector clips and ECU harness and attempted to measure resistance across pins 3E, 3C, 3H 3F, which correspond to Injector clips Primary Front, Primary Rear, Secondary Front and Secondary Rear respectfully.
The problem I'm experiencing is that my multimeter measures open loop on all 4 pins when connected to the corresponding fuel injector clips. I also attached a 12V bulb to the injector clip and cranked the engine to see if the primary injector clip will flash without any luck.

My car does run except I cant test the injector circuit leading from ECU to fuel injectors, any suggestions?

You have to state what year car and whether turbo or non turbo car to get an answer.

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, use a test light or a twelve volt bulb on a fuel injector harness plug/ECU ever, ever, ever time ten thousand billion.

Buy a LED light from radio shack for two bucks and use that.

My apologies Hailers, I had misspoken earlier. The lamp I used was a BOSH BALKAMP fuel injector test light. It is a 88 S4 non-Turbo.
