injector resistance off?

OK, I have looked through everything and determined that my 88 TII has red top high impedance injectors, but when i measure with an ohm meter I measure about 6ohms. this should be higher right?

I am looking to install 720cc injectors, these are measuring out at ~1ohm
so just checking on the size resistor i should use.

thanks,

If the meter is working right...the 720's are no good in my humble pie opinion. Just saying "someting is not quite right with a one ohm reading".

Stock 88 injectors should be reading 12-16 ohms just like you read in the FSM.

Stk 86- first half of 1987 injectors measure 2-4 ohms and I usually see 2.2 ohms or 2.3 ohms on those.

If you put low impedence/resistance injectors in that 88 you'd want to use a resistor similar to the solenoid resistor package in the early 86- first half of 87, which is a six ohm resistor for each injector.

If you spend a hundred sixty bucks for a FJO Driver box you could forget about resistors and have a better setup 'cause the Peak and Hold injectors will be driven as............peak and hold and not saturrated. See and maybe read https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...njector+driver and mull it over if you will.

ok, ill look into the FJO, but obviously it is tempting to just put a resistor in (cheaper and i can get it down the street)
