injector question (i searched)

I recently picked up 6 550cc injectors for my 89 supra turbo. As some of you know, the 550cc injector from the 2nd gen's is an upgrade for us. I have searched on this forum and the supra forum extensively before picking up the injectors. The injectors I obtained have a matching part number, but do not seem to match the color, to some of the injector info i have seen posted. I am mainly looking for clips for these, and am having trouble because I don't know what year rx7 they came from.

4 are ND part number 195500-1370. They were cleaned and were high impedance flowing about 600cc at 40psi. 2 are beck/arnley reman. with part number 155-0155 (dark purple tops). The 4 are square tops with offset notch, but they are dark RED. All the info i see on the injectors show the 1370's to be purple. I dont see any info on a square/offset red injector.

Has anyone seen an injector off a rx7 that matches these? I want to be sure that these are infact 550cc before I install them. Thanks for any help.

This will probably help. www.rotaryresurrection.com/injector.html

That part number can correspond to the 87 tan 550cc low impedance or the 88 purple 550cc high impedance. Why they did this I do not know. All 1370s are 550cc, so you just need to find the impedance, which is easy with a DMM across the terminals.

I dont see any info on a square/offset red injector.

They can appear red, but what I call red ones are 1350's from an 86-88 nonturbo. Keep in mind these things fade and such, so color is not so important to the ID, just helpful for a general idea.

I am also having a hard time finding clips. The reman inj. seem to match a 88T, but the Sorenson pigtails that match a 88T are square with a notch in the center.
That info is ont he page above. Note that low impedance injectors all have a center notch, and high imp. have an offset notch. IF you cant find the proper version for your application, you can modify either the injectors or plugs to work without a big fuss. Just be sure that all your injector impedances match what your car needs to run.

Thanks a bunch for the reply.
Dissregarding the color.. they look to be the high impedance based on the tests, and the shape of the connector.
It looks like I may have to use the sorenson pigtails, and modify the connector to make it work.

I can actually use either the low or high impedance, seeing im going haltech. I'm actually using 2nd gen rx7 coils as well for my project.
