injector question?
So if someone tested my injectors with an idiot light there would not be any juice at the injectors because the ECU pulses a ground to it when it's time for them to open, aaaah is that true? If so that is good news. So how do I test to see if the secondaries are working besides getting on the freeway and getting on it.
Since your car is a non turbo you can follow the instructions in the free, online factory service manual.
Remove the vacuum line from the pressure sensor and plug it.
Start the engine.
Put the handle of a long screwdriver to your ear and the other end to one of the secondary fuel injectors.
Rev the engine over 3500 rpm and you should be able to hear the injectors clicking.
It's in the fsm. Free online fsm.
If you have a digital meter and know how to backprobe a wire at the ECU, then you can watch the voltage drop of the injector when the car is under load and over 3500rpm.
