injector and pulsation damper question

hello everyone i have an 88t2 and a question about what happens to your car when the P.D goes completely bad, will it flood easier when starting or make the car run horribly?

my 2nd question is about putting low impedence injectors into a 88 t2 high impedence car on accident, some one sold me low imp. injectors and said they were high and i didnt have a ohm meter at the time so i put them in and drove my car for about 10 min then it started tripping out on me and i barely made it home. i put the low imp. injectors back in but havent been able to get it started due to the P.D i think. please post if you may have any ideas. thank you, nick.

The PD will not cause your car to flood. However if it does fail, it will leak fuel everywhere and most likely start your car on fire.

is leaking fuel the only indicater of a bad pulsation damper, are there no side affects other than that?

In general, yes. It's virtually impossible to determine that a damper has become "lazy" without some very sensitive fuel pressure logging equipment.
