injector malfunctioning

Unhappy injector malfunctioning

I am having the following problems:

1. Acceleration is inconsistent. It loses power throughout all rpm. Even before 4k rpm.

2. The redline buzzer intermitently goes off at 6k rpm.

3. When I mash the gas (slowly, or very fast), it pauses before actually going. Or it pauses then goes, then pauses and goes. . .

4. If I move the secondary injectors around in it's place, then the car won't go past 4k rpm. When in this state, the car runs ok up to 4k rpm.

5. Starting the car cold, it starts VERY rough.

6. Not getting the power it used to at any rpm

All that to ask if you guys think that it is a problem with my injectors? Primary or secondary? I think it sounds like the injectors are leaking, and putting out gas before supposed too. I put fuel injector cleaner in it and it helped a little (I think), but I still have the problems. :-(

Also, on the fuel rail for the secondary injectors(the ones on top), there is a little pressure release valve (I think) or something. What is that called, and should I probably replace it.

Where should I get replacements for my injectors, and what brand do you recommend getting. They are 460's right?

Secondary injector connectors or clogged filters.
Clogged mail fuel filter.

Don't overlook the plugs & plug wires!!

Do all the warning lights come on during the lamp test when you first turn on the key?
That buzzer could also be for low coolant or low oil.

I have a new fuel filter. Are there other filters I should replace?



Since I last posted, I cleaned the injectors as good as I could. I could see down in the connection, and it was pretty grimy. ANYWAY...I just drove it and it is MUCH better. I can't tell if it is fixed, but time will tell.

Do you have any recommendations for injectors. rx7.com didn't have 460's, and Victoria British has some for like $100.
