AdamLewis; Every manufacturer offers a different package. If the kit does not indicate a pillow ball rear upper mount then you must re-use the stock rear upper. This is common as the camber adjustment is via subframe link or lateral link in FC in the rear so upper is not needed for adjustment purposes. I chose the package w/ pillow ball upper rear as it eliminates bushing deflection affecting dampening, but it will transmit more road noise/vibrations. If comfort is of concern, a more race oriented suspension like FLT-A2 w/ rar pillow ball may not be the ticket for you- the good news is the more street oriented kits are less expensive.
Does the HKS Hyper dampner offer a rebuildable shock body and rebuild kits? Is the lower mount seperate from the threaded body so that adjustments can be maximized, there is no rattling even w/ out tender springs and adjustment is faster? Does it offer 17 pts of dampening? Is it less than $1445?-edit- sorry, this price is from direct conversion from Japanese retail w/ no shipping/tax whatsoever, hope there is no confusion.
My research led me to buying JIC; previously Cusco Comp IIs were my top choice.

Yep, there are a couple of real sickos on in this section- I am merely an aspiring sicko who has realized the FC3 can be tuned to super car beating performance for the price of a new economy car. And then when you are driving at 10/10ths and you total it- just grab your goodies off the wreck and put them on another $500-1000 body and do it all over again! My next chassis will be a base model- hmm, lightweight. I almost look forward to stuffing this TII pig into a hillside... Choose rebuildable suspension as it tends to get bent in wrecks

Looks good! I'm scrimping all my pennies to get the JIC suspension set up. Rishie is very cool, and he brought a set to the Dyno day. Machined artwork. Let me know how you like the ride, if it's too gnarly, as well as the progressive nature of the springs. Looks awesome! I was smirkin' at yer fistin' photos. Anyways, thanks for postin' the pics!

Sure thing KS, full report when I get it all together again- but that could definitely be a while. As far as an objective opinion on how comfortable it is...I don't think I'm your man!
My driver right now is my 1300 lb Honda w/ 10" tall rims and I find it plenty confortable- even if it gets airborne crossing freeway reflector dots at any speed over 70mph! There is something "comfortable" about its ability to outbrake and corner my FC...(at any speed it is capable of anyways-80mph is the 7000 rpm recommended redline)

Thanks for the pics and excitement. It really is awesome stuff. I'm glad that people are now starting to learn about, see, and feel these beautifully functional products.

FYI, I know that any of you can go to the Japan website and convert the Yen but after taxes and duties etc. the US creates it's own price list. Refrain from conversion because you'll only be frustrated when hearing list price in the US. All I can say is that you get the most for your money with the FLT-A2's and the quality is great. Rebuildable and all in US. Even can create Race Spec setups.

JIC USA, Ziel Motorsports, has done this and these products as all Japan to US products have prices that take these importing expenses into consideration.

Just curious, what advantage does this suspension setup offer over say the normal ground-control's and Koni's or even the Mazdacomp setup?

Adjustability range, rebuildable, aggressive valving. There is much better available than this of course, but it starts getting to be over $1000 a corner like Penske double, tripple or quadruple adjustables...

Blue, you said on the softest setting they were harder than the infamous R1 suspension or something? Have you ridden in a car with them?

I want the JIC's, but there's the Koni/GC, the AGX/GC combos out there for hella cheaper. I've seen the product, it certainly /looks/ worth it, but have you had any seat time in a car with 'em?

No, the softest setting being equal to the infamously stiff R1 RX-7 was from the review of another forum member on his 3rd gen in the suspension section. The fact that the spring rates are higer on the 3rd gen JIC set-up than 2nd gen set-up may make a big difference w/ this stiffness. But, the message is that the JIC seems to have race track aggressive valving.

Since you live in an area where other people actually drive performance imports you should be able to find someone w/ these to give you a ride. I imagine a ride won't tell you as much as a drive, but that might be harder to get- and who would push an unfamiliar car hard?

I guess I have blind faith in Japanese high end product quality...
