Infomation and Reviews On TEIN Super Drift Spec Damper

I'm looking into my future options on witch suspension setup would be best.

Car
1991 N/A FC3S
w/ '88 TurboII Rear end

I am looking at TEIN suspension products right now, but i am open to other suggestions that you guys might have.

Application: Sunday/Saturday Car, AutoX, TrackDays, Drift Events.

I was something in the coilover category thats mostly towards drifting, but also can be used for grip racing.

Current products i'm look at are:

What else is out there have you have had, and or heard good reviews on?

Price range/budget:1.500

i have only heard good reviews about their coilovers, although there haven't been many.

Hmm... I have the older version of these (Tein HE's). I am not sure if its the same coilover just painted differently, but mine are very good and have no problems at all. It is a little stiff for the crappy roads where I live but not a huge deal. I have not been in a FC with Tein non drift spec coilovers so I cannot tell you if it actually makes it any easier to throw the car sideways or not. I have been to the autox with them though and it wasnt all too spin happy, but had a lil bit of oversteer.

Look into SilkRoad, you'll be glad you did.
High quality product out of Japan... a little pricey, but worth the money!

I'm 90% positive that the Super Drift's are just the Tein Flex with different spring rates and valving. They're a very good dual duty coilover. They're durable, they've got decent valving and they're servicable in the US. That last bit is important, because if you get a Japanese coilover that's not servicable here then you'll have to send it to them to get it repaired when it goes bad, that'll end up costing you a lot more.

The Tein SD have some decent rates for track driving, and with different swaybar combinations you should be able to change the balance of the car from grip to drift fairly easily.

Contact Rishie at AutoRnD if you're going to buy them and he'll hook you up with them at a discount.
