I am looking for a 91 turbo. I would like to know what its potential tuning power is. Is it hard to tune to 280HP? Basically is that a realistic stage to tune for or what?

any refrence would be appreciated....

I take it this is what I am looking for ?

that HP is pretty easy.

that pic is an 87/88. the 89-91's look like this, and are much rarer and more $$

factory body kit, nicer rims, more power.

It depends on what you mean by "tune". I is impossible to make that much horsepower by simply tuning the engine, although it is a very realistic power level for a street car modified with performance parts. This site will help. Be sure to check out the site map:

BTW, Zenki = 87-88, Kouki = 89-92. Everyone else calls them Series 4 and Series 5, but RETed has to be different and use Japanese terms.

... and heavier.

For the newbies who don't see any difference between the two pictures besides the wheels, the 89-92 has integral side molding vs. the 87-88 black molding, a slightly different front end with larger ducting than the 87-88, and a slightly different rear end with round tail lights as opposed to the rectangular lights on the 87-88. There are also interior differences, such as the round gauges of the 89-92 vs. the 1/4 round gauges of the 87-88.
