Info on FC3C Trunk Struts Needed

Does anyone have a line on where a guy can buy trunk (not hatch) struts for an 88 FC3C?

The regular hatch struts are too long, and none of the local parts stores seem to have struts that are compatable with the trunk.

I'm talking about the little gas-charged deals that keep your trunk lid open, not the actual suspension strut.

I'm tired of all the knots on my head.

Try taking one down to your local truck/camper/shell store and say you are trying to match up the strut.

Victoria British offers a set. Not sure how much but definitely cheaper than what Mazda is asking for. Otherwise, like Icemark said, check out the junkyard.

Can't find a vert in any of my local junkyards, but appreciate the advice. Will check the camper shell store for a close fit.

Thanks, fellas.

I am in the same situation since I added a spoiler to my trunk. The junkyards are useless anyway since all the old ones are pretty much shot.
