What the difference between a 6-pad, 4-pad, and just the regular disc type clutches. Would like preferances and pros/cons of each.

any puck type clutch - 4, 6 whatever.....are tough on your flywheel.......actually let me rephrase - eat flywheels with a tall glass of milk.
However - the trade off is the holding capacity....the puck type will be more capable of holding power with an upgraded pressure plate.
dsic type are much more streetable - less harsh engagement then a puck type.....but again with the trade off of holding capacity....
keep in mind the trade off doesn't really become a HUGE factor until about 350-400hp...thats where it becomes difficult to find a really grippy disc type clutch
