The Infinity symbol in this context is not pronounced Infinity from Mazda's point of view. They call in the Infini. Just to clear that up. IDAS has a '91 FC3S Infini III in the game, and Gran Turismo 4 has a Infini III from the 1991 model year as well. Are they incorrect?

 

I can't believe this thread got brought back from the dead but since it did the infini IV's where the s5 version that was supposed to give a whats next for the rx7 in America. Only one was brought to America for the magazine people to drive however none was ever brought here for sales because the new version of the rx7 came out only 2 years later or maybe even less. I know they started making them in 92 but didn't start selling them until 93. Icemark will correct me if I'm wrong in any of my info

 

Infini, Efini, Afini, Infinity... I think I'll start calling it the Infamy, just to annoy people.

No, they were FC Infini versions 1-4. 1 & 2 were S4, 3 & 4 were S5.

The all had the correct series taillights for their respective year
