Talking Infini project update OR "Wanna know how much a turbo GTUs weighs?"

Well, it's been a while since the last update(has there ever been one?), and I'm extremely pleased with how things are going. I ended up purchasing another chassis because the first chassis I bought(1990 GTU w/o sunroof) ended up having a lot of rust and just wasn't worth dumping money into. This June I was able to purchase a 1989 white GTUs with 150k on the clock, and let me tell you, she is a BEAUT. Never been in a single accident, fresh paint from 4 years ago that was done PROFESSIONALLY, the undercarriage and body are cleaner than my 1990 TII with 43k EVER was! Thanks to a few friends(KenshinFC, j9fd3s, rarestrx and jsotelo), I was able to swap the motor and drivetrain in less than 4 days total. The whole thing went extremely smoothly save for some clutch problems, the car started up on the first try! So the hard part is done! She doesn't look like much right now, dirty and has a banged up red TII hood, but she's mean for stock! I got a chance to weigh her after sevenstock too: FYI, a bone stock GTUS turbo(or GT-X in Japan) weighs in a 2820! Not bad for a "heavy" series 5. It's very noticeable in the handling too(although not so much in the acceleration). After lightweight rims, seats, and mousbelt removal, it shold be bang on at 2770, the final, pre-modded goal. Coming up next will be the black interior swap from my TII and tricking my girlfriend's parents to let me ship parts to their house in Japan, so I can go visit and bring them home. I think I should be able to get everything I need to make the car indistinguishable both cosmetically and mechanically from a real Infini(save for the RHD and the paint color). Major thanks to everyone who's helped and taken an interest. This project is a lot of fun, and it's great to be driving a turbo rex again! I'll try and get some pics up after it get's washed and such, and if anyone has a mint white TII hood in northern california, lemme know! Thanks guys, I'll try and post more frequently the updates as they come along!
