That's exactly what he's done. Touchpad in the console area.

Jesus christ man. All you do is sit around, posting totally ridiculous pictures degrading people. You're not funny. I've seen your posts here... The avatar is completely horrifying... Your lack of words screams your inability to carry on a useful/intelligent conversation. I blame it on Hooked-on-phonics. They have too many damn pictures. Go read a book, and leave the pics alone!

and it wouldnt really be all that pricey. if you think about it. its like 800 for a incar dvd/mp3/cd deck..

you can pic a touch screen up for way less then that...
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...709054722&rd=1

say you dont have enough pc parts. you can make a good enough system to run everything you want for under 500 bucks. then all you would need is time and some extra long wires

man i am all over this idea now!!

Second that.

But on a more relative topic, those little mouse things suck. I hate using them. Why not use a optical "ball" mouse. you know the ones that you dont more the mouse, but roll they ball.

Haha, because we hate them. Seriously, I can't stand those damn mice. We'd much prefer a touchpad, if he went with one of those I'd kick his ***, and it's not even my car!

I say touchpad. I think it would fit nicely in the upper console piece...by the e-brake handle... maybe not, who knows?

interesting install, it seems like the LCD wouldnt look the greatest from that viewing angle but maybe all my experiences have been with poor laptop LCD's.

I am in the process of setting up a virtual dash in my vehicle with a lilliput 7" lcd, the primary function of the carpc I'm using is to run gauge software on the lcd panel, and tuning software for the haltech e6k.

paint it black and it will look better, the red is a bit overpowering.

And for those saying to work on the bondo and sand it more, after looking at all 3 pictures, it looks alright to me. I think its the camera that makes around the heater vent looked a bit screwy in the first 2 pics, but in the last pic you can see that area looks fine. Everyone is always so quick to critisize and never offers solutions or advice besides negative comments.

edit: I tired to post my web page, and I guess RX7 club wont allow it, copy and paste this to see the console in black: http://robx-7.nopistons.com/userimag...c774113445.jpg

What's a TV without a ******* and a popcorn machine? Build a toilet into the rear seats. Bolt a air conditioner from an RV or Suburban over the sunroof, and see about replacing the hatch with fold-out tent beds. Hey, fits the scheme.
