All FCD's made are clamping devices, which clamp at a voltage just under that of boost cut. If they used a simple voltage dropping device that'd be a pretty shitty FCD!

So just because the guy you know obviously doesn't know anything about tuning a 13BT correctly, thats a good reason to go with an REW? You do realize that, when it comes down to it, its pretty much the SAME engine right? It doesn't matter whether you detonate on a 13BT or an REW - you'll still blow the motor. It doesn't matter if the motor was "built", it'll still grenade if you mod the car like a moron. Thats what you get for trying to make 390whp on a TII with stock injectors, stock turbo, and no FMIC...if its even possible at all (which I doubt, thats not even close to enough fuel...nevermind the turbo being way out of its efficiency range and the insane intake temps), I will guarantee you it will blow it within minutes.

I commend you for the work you did...its something unique and it worked for you in your situation. But thats about it...the swap just doesn't make sense for the average FC owner because the costs outweigh the benefits by a large margin.

Hey rotary1990twin ... stop draggin these guys along. You and I both know what's up with getting 390HP. It's the 2nd gen FD that can use the upgrade roms to get 390, ie. not the cars sold in the US. The modifications needed to the car are as follows: FMIC, Fuel Pump, and the upgraded ECU itself (please note these come nearly 300hp as opposed to 255hp). As for seeing a fast rotary powered car, wasn't mine the one you were tripping on how fast it was? I'm not even making 300whp yet, and it's an FD. I'm not trying to discredit you, but you're omitting a lot of stuff for a reason that I don't really understand. Get your stuff completed make the power that you say you're gonna make then post pic of your car, and a pic of the dyno sheet, and a break down of prices. If you want a following, that will do it (if the prices are reasonable). If you want to just continue defending yourself with no success, then continue making posts that reveal absolutely nothing.

This thread should be closed. He can open another one when he's done with the car. It should feature a video of and FC with and FD motor, hopelessly trying to make it across an interstection because it makes 6,000,000,000 hp and 8,000,000,000 lb.ft of torque then pics of the subframe (angle iron) that holds this baby in place.

The point of that?

JUST FINISH THE DAMN THING!!!

Anything that will blow a REW up will blow a BT up
They're not magical rotaries that just don't blow up, they spin a little higher and have a little better casting and diff ports/intake
same seals and rotors
