I am aware of some hinderances but would like to know what are they. Tranny harnesses different?

I've searched which has yielded less than what I'll settle for.

Easier to do in a S4 with a s5, just block off the omp, run premix, get a s4 tII harness, use a s4 ecu/afm/pressure sensor, going to have to change the injector clips or get different injectors as the s5 ones are different, rig up the TPS so it's single and not dual, swap alternators, and other annoying things like that

Oh yeah! I need and want more. My setup will compliment the rest of my FC.

Some lucky one will be very fortunate to acquire a solidly maintained clean s4 motor (clean!!!), 3 month old RB Aluminum Flywheel and ACT ss Disk, X-treme Pressure Plate! Not to mention my RB Header and Brullen Exhaust setup. It gots to go.

I've got a Microtech LT8 on the way. So I can see your angle. Makes the setup all the easier.

With my LT8, I don't have to worry about the ECU going on default. Plus I'm premixing. I'll probably need a Engine Harness for the plugs only.

So with the above, can I say everything has been accounted for?

I'm wondering If I can use my s4 TPS. I bought It brand new and hate to part It out. I hope the mounting points are allowable.

Oh, haha, with an LT8 it's even easier. Premix, use the dual TPS bracket from the s5 tII engine, just pop the tps's off of it and mount the (s4) single on it, plug it in, do something about the injectors, put your s4 alternator on, and you're good to go.

You mean mount my existing TPS on? I've got a FD Alternator thats going to ve transfered. I can't give that up. What do you mean the Injectors? The TII ones?

Yeah, the plugs for the injectors are the hardest thing you'll come accross. You can just replace the dual TPS (s5) one with your s4 one, you could even mount it so that it's full range instead of 20% like the s4 used to be, so that you could have more control with your microtech, but that's up to you, and with a FD alternator, you're all set!

Yup SonicRat covered it all pretty much. S4 tps fits on the S5 bracket no problem.

You will need a throttle cable, a T2 LSD or a custom driveshaft, a transmission, starter, fmic or t2 hood... a bunch of other stuff too.

I cut the injector clips off the S5 harness that came with the jspec and soldered them in place of the square clips on my NA harness. Im running no emissions, no BAC, no OMP, no rats nest, no solenoinds... so my swap was fairly easy but it wouldnt work with an S5 ecu because its too smart and would throw codes from what i hear.

Shouldnt be too hard if you're not planning on keeping any emissions controls.

then he changed the whole rear subframe and tranny and diff.

I always forget the easy stuff, like the brake booster line and the throttle cable

I don't see the need to swap Sub Frames...they're the same.

Luckily, I have some left over Silicone Hoses from my Kit I got.

Quick question. Are thr TII's Throttle Cables the same within series?

they're all the same, but the brake booster hose you need the checkvalve for so it doesn't send positive pressure to your brake booster.
