Angry I'm starting to get REALLY pissed

Ok... so back in early February (no, i didn't studder, february) I took my car into Passen Motorsports in Columbus. I'd heard a guy named JJ does really nice work with rx7s there. So, after about a month (which is ridiculous in itself) the dude finally takes out the engine and sends it back to engine for inspection. Atkins took their sweet-*** time checking out and rebuilding/reporting my engine (about another month). So now we're into april... my turbo arrives a week later and my clutch 2 weeks later. So roughly at the begining of May, ALL of the components they needed to install have been delivered. Is my car put back together? You'd think so wouldn't you... the engine was FINALLY installed last week. Does it run? No... the brakes and clutch had NO action and the engine won't idle at all (way too much fuel is going through... who knows the cause.. not my problem... its the mechanics) The clutch and brakes aren't my problem either... they both worked before the car went in. Anyways... you'd think my car should be a higher-priority job eh? Nope... dipshit told me he could probably start trying to work on it at the end of next week. I know from an inside source that he doesn't get paid until the place gets a check. He wants me to pay them for the job right now and i think he can fist-f&%k himself... what incentive would he have to do my car at all if he already got money for it? This guy is really just jerkin me around and there isn't **** i can do about it. Is there ANY legal action i can take since he's not working on my car?? It's costing me plenty of time, money and stress? I mean it has been in the shop for half a year!!!!!!!! Anyways... i just wanted to rant... lataz

Sorry to hear that man. The more I read about shops, the more I think I should do all work on my car myself.

never trust mechanics! They're all a bunch of damn liars. Take a second to talk to your mechanic next time and you'll realize he's no smarter than you are, He just has tools....and he sucks.

You may be able to do some legal action, but it may do you no good, and end up costing you more. You can talk to a lawyer, or got the the local business bureau and tell them what's been going on..........sorry to hear about your problems I went through similar ones a few years back with my 87 TII, I took it took it to a shop, the rear apex seal went bad, and I wanted the whole motor replaced, so after4 months after the motor was in I finally got the car back, and the next day it blew again, I got a lawyer, and got every penny back plus some.......good luck

Contact the Attorney generals department of consumer fraud. That is what i did when i got lied to about cable internet. You send them a letter then they will send a letter to the company and a copy of it to you. They company then has to right a letter and usually it is written by a lawyer so it cost the company money to write this letter. Then after you get there letter the Attorney general will ask if there reason was good enough and if you say no they are in big trouble. What i did is when i got the letter from them i told them that it wasn't good enough and then the offered me a free year of cable if it would make me drop the subject, so i took it an i now have free cable. Maybe you can do the same and they will finish you car quick. Good luck
