Angry I'm SICK of this Sh*t! How does it stop!?

TWICE today i was flooring it and the car just rev's to fuel cut all by itself!! First time was shifting out of 2nd @ 6000 rpms and then the other was shifting out of 3rd at 5500 RPMs. But that time i shifted to 4th, kept going at WOT (by itself), put in 5th, CLUTCH BURN TO 9,000 RPMS!!!

I'm sick of this ****!!!! IT cannot be good for the engine. WHAT would cause this and how do i fix it? ANyone have this happen to them?? GGRRRRRR......

sounds like your throttle cable or plates are sticking. if it happens turn the key off. it's the only way to stop the revs from going up.

just get under the hood and pull on the throttle cable and see how fast it returns. It could be the spring too.

make sure your spring is attached and is pulling the cable back to the closed place. if it's stiff to move it back and forth get some intake cleaner and start spraying on the Tb area where the springs are. spaying some inside would probably help too.

I'd check the cable also, make sure it slides real easy, and doesn't have any kinks or pinch points. Lube it up good, may solve your problem. If the cable is shot, they are not that much-- I ordered a new one, $33 from Mazdatrix.

Oh man that sucks, my guess is the throttle cable is stuck or something that they said above. Hopefully you'll find the problem out and get it fixed.
