350rwhp is easily achievable w/ a 13b-t... anything over 450rwhp, then maybe start thinking about the re swap.... your gonna save alot of money by switching to giec....... crap... i mean, your gonna save alot of money by not swapping and just building a very reliable, doweled motor

your gonna spend roughly $1500 for a 13b-re motor which is definently gonna have to be rebuilt... or you can use that 1500 plus the $$$ you were gonna spend on rebuilding it, and have one bad-*** ported, balanced, doweled, relaible 13b-t which will be just as strong and reliable as the 13b-re...

plus i think selling your car is a bad idea... too many people sell thier cars w/ intentions on getting another, but things come up, and they have to part ways w/ the acumalated parts theve been saving up.... your car looks like a descent starting platform...... hell, use the 1500 saved by not swapping to an re, and spend it on body work and paint....

good luck whichever way you go

Ive had 2 used 13b-re motors. I blew up one because of crank trigger issue. In any case both used motors had right around 100PSI compression warm.

good point

hey man selling the car because it was recently hit...yea it not a bad hit BUT if i am going to do something so big and spend so much money i just want it to be in a CLEAN *** T2 no accident no nothing...also i have found a motor for less than what youve said and "my friend" is going to do the rebuild and porting job for me..so i'm really no tlooking at the average price of an RE swap....i have really thought about everything that will be done to the car and motor and all is left to do is "DO IT" but hey thanks for the info but like i said before i'd rather try and fail to just keep thinking what if all the time....anyone need any parts just let me know...go to my forsale thread and pm me or post it there..thanks again

I am in the middle of the same swap with the cosmo 13btt, I think thys the one!atleast that's the engine I baught from JDM motors in Canada.....well after doing a lot of reading of post and I am not really finding what I want to know about the swap, but any way I am putting the cosmo in my n/a 87 Rx7 and what I need to know is if someone can tell me what needs to be done to make this swap a success!I have all the things that I think I need to finish this project except for the mounts and I can't tell if I need to but them or if the engine will mount up to my n/a mounts, the reason I say that is cuz I'm confused with what I have read about that subject?the only thing that I need is a turbo tranny because right know I am using my n/a tranny because I can't find a used one for under 1000 bucks and that's a lot in my book..;as to your ? I would say the 13Bre because that's what I'm doing and from what I have read you can spend 2000 on the right stuff and have a reliable 550 HP beast!!!I don't mean to butt in on your post but I'm getting frustrated with not getting the info that I need, and I will have the complete engine on Wednesday!any info will be much appreciated and I don't have that much knowledge on rotary because I'm new but if I here something to you ? Then ill give you a shout????pm me or email would be preferrd duwacker16@yahoo.com
