I'm buying another FC tomorrow

Well I should be taking it home...

It needs a new alternator and battery... as well as a much over do tune up and thorough cleaning.

I guess this would be the fourth FC which I've purchased... the second one I've owned. My prior was a 10th ae which I performed a lot of work on but didn't end up keeping.

I also have an SA which I almost am ready to use... so much work done to it, see my sig.

WIsh me luck all.

You my friend, are a sadist aren't you '

I've had two second gens now, and this one, I will be keeping until one of us expires now that I've finally got all the work done to it.

I want a first Gen to bastardize into a V-8 street/strip mustang eater (yeah yeah, but i have a 289 and a blower sitting in the shop just waiting for project like this) Then I'm getting a 3rd gen... No more Second gens!!!

SO long as I get it... and am able to insure it, I'll drive it over.

up early... ready to go!

And yes I'm more of a sadist than I'd like to admit...

Geez, another one .

Is this one going to be a daily driver? It sounds like your 1st gen has been made a little too hard core for street use. Just remember, you have to keep at least one running at all times so that you can still get around .

BTW, the 10 AE is finally running, but it still needs some work before its back on the street. It looks like you moved up to SF. You may be a little too far away to take the 7's for a drive when they are both done.

I had to move for school!
But I'm doing great, having a wonderful time, and enjoying my studies very much.

Yeah my 79' didn't quite make it for the street as she sits... I'll finish that one in time for sure.

The FC I'm getting will be pretty much for daily driving.. but I want to tune it some...

I can't wait to see you car on the street! Having many problems...?

Of course you have to "tune" it a little so that you have enough power to get up hills and for passing on the freeway. Riiight

I've had some problems, but not any different than any other older FC. I think that I would have been able to solve them much more quickly if I were a more competent rotary mechanic, but this has been a great learning experience for me. I want to make the car a daily driver if possible, so I have ended up buying a lot of new and rebuilt parts. That added a lot to the down time and cost. I would send you a list of parts I've bought, but I'm afraid that you would have a heart attack . The good thing is that I've saved a ton on labor.

I've got some new pics on my site (http://members.***.net/jrvincent/rx7.html), but they are a few months out of date. I'll post new ones this weekend so you can get an idea of where she's at.

Also, congrats on finding a good school.
