im building a touge style rex...
im looking for some advice on what to look into such as a functional jdm style body kit along with splitters
as well as a tougher suspension a little bit rally but more touge
any incite helps

Wings and splitters are good for high speed. You'll only be doing 60mph tops on a mountain pass. Bring zip ties too. These drivers don't invest in body kits for a good reason. Ever see body kits in initialD? Lol

Keep the body 100% stock and add some OG style 15/16" wheels to it. Thats about as close as it gets to cars that drive on the Togue.

First off.. Make sure everything on the car's working correctly and efficiently: Brakes, 5/6th ports [NA], secondary injectors, wheels bearings, etc

Tires actually will make a bigger difference than wheels IMO... [I went from factory 14" 185 phone dial wheels to 16" 205 Skyline R32 GTS-T wheels and I didn't really get much more grip until I got better tires on the R32 wheels...]
Actually, you can do wheels/tires before suspension as long as you're not slamming the car [which may affect your wheel/tire choice..]
Don't worry about body modifications until after all of this is done. The car's already designed to be slippery enough to get up to 130MPH
Oh and one more thing... nycgps: Do you remember them ever modifying the FC ?

Skip the body kit..
You are looking at it the wrong way.
you don't want looks,you want Function,and that means paying attention to the Car's suspension and brakes..and of course a little power won't hurt!
Even if the Car looks like crap,people will say,,Holy Shick,,look at that Car handle!.and they will admire that!

Im a function over style man. My car looks like a POS but the parts on it are designed to do what they do best.
I would say keep the body as stock as possible and spend the rest on parts that works. A little lip here, and a side skirt there is good, but splitters and canards are over doing it for Touge where speed wont even reach high enough for them to have an affect on the cars handling.
Some people have already posted what I do to the car, but the basics such as Brake system, suspension, and tires are always good.
Good set of brake fluid like ATE blue, or Motul RBF 600 and flushing the entire system.
Theres lots of good brake pads out there. Depends on preference. I prefer Hawk HP+, but EBC Yellow stuff, Porterfield R4-S, hawks HP-10 and blue 9012 are good too. As for rotors, you can get some quality slotted rotors (never get drilled rotors), but brembo blanks will work just as good.
As for suspension and tires.....thats a lot of choices. Advans AD08 or Dunlops Star specs are good to start off with but if its just a touge car or you want some gripper tires, Advan A048 or Toyo R888 are good. I dont know how well the Pilot sport cup tires are but they should be considered.

thanks yall i was talkin to my brother and we were talkin about brakes tires suspension the whole nine but we started talkin about more downforce cause where i will be runnin the car isnt traditional touge just alot of fast corners that change in elevation and what not

OK, I am going to be different... body kit first. Why? Because big wheels/tires will not fit inside the stock body panels, and you will have a better idea of what will fit after you modify the body. Make sure the body kit has good front brake vents.

Back on subject... If you're going to be driving with lots of corners and elevation changes shouldn't suspension be at the very top of your priorities? You don't want the car to jump up and down on stock stuff..

When you say larger/bigger wheels most people think wheel diameter. What you mean is wider wheels and tires, which I totally agree. But as far as it being the first thing to do, I disagree, at least for some one modding a car for touge. The body kit or wider tires won't be of much use until you have done other mods(engine, suspension, brakes, etc..). As a racer want to do things that will help you improve/ make you faster first, then you work on the other stuff.
