ignition switch going out?

My 88 T-II is pretending to have a low battery. When I try to start it, I just get clicking. Every once in a while instead of clicking, it turns over and I can start it up. I drove it this morning, but now I can't crank it, again. I,ve checked grounds and the battery is new. Any ideas?

Most likely problem, you have dirty battery posts.

Second most likely problem, you have the ever so common amp resistance to the starter problem. Easy Bosch relay fix. Just do a search with my name and you'll find it.

Sounds like a problem with the starter relay. Can often be fixed by bypassing it.

Thanks, for the advise. I have not fixed it yet, but was able to look at a few things. It appears that I will be adding in another relay. BTW, yesterday was the first time in 3.5 years for the car to be run. So, your helping to get another Halteched, Pt-67'd, Rex back on the road.
