Ignition problem with leading coil

Ill try to make this simple and to the point My car idles roughly and there is alot of poping at idle. My tps is perfect, I have set and reset it atleast a dozen times because that is what I though my problem originally was. Once I figured out it was not the tps and went back to square one with the timing. I have set the timing a couple of times but it will never seem to be "just right". Today I pulled out the dang CAS and reset the gear. When I reinstalled it, it went in fine. So if fired the car up and set the timing again, and it was still idle rough...however when I pointed the timing light at the top of the CAS (the cover was off) with it connected to L1 the gear in the CAS looked like a cross, with the gear flashing in two places...as though the coil was misfiring. When the timing light was connected to T1 the gear in the CAS was perfect becuase it did not move. My question now is could this be affecting my idle, how to fix it, or what other problem might cause this. Remember I do have my tps set perfect and I already have regrounded both coils. Thanks for your help

Leadings fire twice per RPM, so that's entirely normal to see with the timing light firing at the CAS guts.

well...the wires are new (less than 1.5k) and so are the plugs so I dont think that would be a problem...however for all I know it would be.
