Ign Lock on my 88 is shot - had a spare that I previously bought but they're different, the "new" one has a mechanical lever that looks like a cable should attach to it - my orig. doesnt - what does it do and do I need it? Also there is a small plastic box on the front side of the lock assm. wired in with the Ign Switch (green and red w/yellow stripe wires) the mounting points have been switched??? Again what does it do and do I need it?

 

Ok found out what the plastic thing is but what is this metal thing - see pic

 

that does not look like an ignition for an Fc..(not that I have ever seen anyways.I'll get my spare and post a pic..

the only thing I can think of is Auto?..or Mazda truck maybe?

 

mine is an auto and it looks just like yours - the wiring is identical and it does everything its supposed to - maybe a 90-91 RX?
