If you want to revive your EGR valve:
Faced with the high cost of a new valve, and used ones that weren't any good, I figured out this method of repairing the old EGR. Most of them get dried out and leaky, proved by imersing it in a pot of water and blowing thru a hose connected to the diaphragm. Lots of bubble came out of the little tiny cracks in the rubber, causing a minor vacuum leak if it's on the engine.
I cleaned out all the passages with thin wire and pipe cleaners. Then I used 3M 5200 marine sealant and smeared it all over the visible parts of the rubber diaphragm until it was completely covered with a smooth coat. I used a thin wooden stick to get in the hard-to-reach places. Careful with this stuff - its messy and it stains. Then let it dry for 48 hours. Sealed perfectly!
I don't know how well 5200 resists heat over time, but so far its holding up OK.
