If that wasn't good enough....
Okay, you may have seen my earlier post concerning my dopey oversight that kept me chasing ghosts through my car. (in case you missed it, I hadn't plugged the leading igniter back in after performing the grounding procedure).
Anyway, since it (finally) runs like it's supposed to, I went to DMV and got my temp tag. Then, off to emissions test.
While sitting in line, I remembered I'd wanted to drain the gas tank and refill with fresh before the test. But in my excitement to get the ride back on the road - and more importantly give back the wimpy puss-ball of a car I borrowed from a friend - I forgot. Oh crap.
So the results...IT PASSED! With the idle not quite right (1500rpm) and - here's the most amazing part - 3 1/2 year old gas. ( I know what you're thinking, and yes, I drained and replaced it afterward).
These cars never cease to amaze me. In conclusion, I'm driving the RX to work for the first time in WAY-too-long tomorrow, and Friday I give back the loaner. Yipeee!!
