if a rotary overheats does it????

what happens to your motor when your car over heats? one day i was driving on the highway doing like 75 and i looked down at my water temp gauge and it was at the top line almost to the "H". i had been driving like that for maybe 5 to 10 minutes before i noticed. i think my car feels slower now! what the hell??

warps housings....thus making sealing of o-rings damn near impossible..quick thing to do.....take off your radiator cap...crank over engine...I bet she'll gizer on ya..(hope the best for ya though)...if she does that means compression is escaping though your water o-rings. rebuild.

3 years ago my first 88 did the exact same. However when I added water to the radiator, it just free flowed out the water pump. DOA at 255,000 miles...left her overnight on the interstate and returned the next morning to find her broken into, dash torn up, radio, speakers and other misc items gone, plus a huge dent in the door and fender. Still got $300 for her...

I'm kind of new to rotary, but i've driven my car straight for 2 hours (60-100mph) and it barely gets to 1/4 of the temp guage. Is that normal or maybe my sensor is broken?
