idling
so i have 75psi on the rear rotor and 85 psi on the front rotor for compression. suppodly the previous owner had only 40k on the new "ceramic seals." the engine will flood on occasion in hot weather, but the thing is, as soon as the engine is at running temp, it holds an idle at like 650rpms no trouble and sounds so great.
i bought the car and the compression was like this, and that was atleast 10k miles ago and its seemed just fine.
how long do you think the engine can last with those compression numbers? i want to bump it up to 12 psi when i bore the wastegate, upgrade intercoolers, boost controller, and tires. i dont flog my car everyday, but it see's 7000rpms atleast once a day.
On a side note. My 7 has treated me well(after 3 months of system checks), and i dont think i can ever go back to a piston engine after having a turbo fc. this car is way to fun to drive, and everyone of you turbo fb/fc/fd people better feel the same way or ur nuts.
i saw on a streetfire post, some guy was pissed because people were impressed by a 10 sec n/a rotary, someone else said its very easy to make a 1.3L 4 stroke engine do the same.... wow if i had a streetfire account that person would have heard it all about the rotaries, and it just so happens there 4 strokes, way cooler too.

rotors excite me

that's pretty uneven wear, and if those are accurate numbers I'd say there's a problem probably leading to a rebuild soon (UNLESS ceramic seals yield lower compression numbers at such low turning speeds, however I was under the impression that it's the other way around...)
