Idle surges when clutch-in!!?
i've done searches, but it doesn't seem like any others have the same problem as i. every time i show someone (friends, mechanics, etc.) this "problem", they are left clueless and cannot point out ANY type of solution. i had a new TPS just put in, but it did nothing towards fixing the problem...
basically, the problem is what is stated as the subject.
EVERY TIME i push the clutch in, let's say from a dead stop, the idle would jump up and down... up and down... and would surge like that as long as my foot is pushing down on the clutch pedal. it really is annoying when i'm trying to park or move at slow speeds....
i'm guess maybe i should change my clutch fluid?? are there any vacuum lines i should be looking at??
this is the last real "bug" that i've got on my car, and it would be just TERRIFIC! if i can get rid of it...
that's all i've got to say for now folks... thanks for looking!!

my car does it to, its going to be a sensor on your tranny that is not hooked up, if it does the idle surging while the tranny is in gear when the clutch peadle is down. it has somthing to do with the tranny in gear sensor and fuel to the motor when the computer is thinking that your about to take off from a dead stop. thats what my auto tech teacher says, he worked for mazda for about 20 years. id start there, my sensor has to be replaced since the wires pulled out of it when i did my clutch back in the summer, its the nuetral position sensor on the side of tranny near the back.

^ sounds good... i really hope you hit the nail with that one!
as for the idle, the idle is at no less than 1000 RPM and no more than 1900 RPM (i've never seen the car idle at 750 RPM!). it is always within that range... it would give me a few bogs here and there, so i guess the cause of that would be the BAC?
the idle would only surge up and down (NONSTOP) when the clutch pedal is pushed down (reguardless of being at a stop, in gear, and while moving)....
thanks you guys for helping me out! means a whole lot
i'll be sure to post what i find...
