Idle and stalling trouble, need help!!!

I've got an 88 10th ae and have been having some idling trouble and stalling trouble. problem starts happening after it is warm. the idle will be very erratic , jumping from 150rpm up to 950rpm, feels like it is misfiring (only at idle). It will also stall when comming to a stop. once you press in the clutch and the rpm drops it stalls. sometimes it will be fine (even when it is hot) with no idle problem at all, sits at 800rpm nice and smooth. the by the time i get to the next set of lights is starts bogging again. i was thinking maybe tps or even vaccum leak but i'm not sure where to start. so far I have cleaned and lubricated the throttle linkage which was getting kid of rusty. next i was going to replace the "wax pellet" (not sure what the proper term is) for the idle control. it near the throttle linkage. any help or suggestions would be great.
