Exclamation idle is screwed

okay im starting to think its got something to do with the turbo. It seems like if i keep the revs below like 2200 then stop, it wont die, but if i go much over that then stop, the engine will stall. im not sure, but it might be the wastegate actuator. ive heard the clip likes to rust and break off. could this cause this? although, the turbo thing doesnt explain why the revs oscillate at stops. please help, i hate having to restart my car at every light. Also, the motor seems less prone to dying after ive been driving for like 5 minutes.

i replaced all the vacuum hoses already on the passenger side of the engine, all the ones i could see anyway. I dont think its the TPS because it doesnt just idle low..it oscillates, low to high

Does it oscillate while the car is warming to normal operating temp or does it do it also once the car is completely warm? My BAC valve was causing my oscillating idle. Do yourself a favor and park the car while it is oscillating... pull the electrical connector off the BAC valve while the idle is bouncing/oscillating. If it stops, you found your source. Also, keep working on that TPS adjustment... it can cause similar issues. Good Luck! I feel your bouncy idle pain!

Now, I'm exploring into territory I'm not really versed in... so take it for what it's worth... there's a dashpot responsible for slowly closing the throttle when you let off. Could this be the source of his 2200 RPM cutoff? I assume he means... when he's rolling to a stop (like a redlight)... if he coasts in at a fairly low engine speed (less than 2200) his engine will generally stay running... but, if he comes in hot (whoa, Maverick, call the ball! sorry, read: above 2200) his engine stalls. Dashpot anybody? Any other ideas? Maybe I'll search too. haha
