Idle pulses after 5speed swap?

I had the auto-> manual conversion done, and after I got my car back, whe its warming up, the RPM's fluxuate a lot, its really annoying, does the idle need to be readjusted or something or is there somethign else wrong
And! The shifter is really hard to shift compared to other cars.. I got the mazdatrix shortshifter

did you disconect the auto tranny computer in the right foot well? Mine did the same thing after my swap and the HOLD light was flashing , but after unplugging the tranny computer it stopped looping and flashing.

I also use the mazdatrix shifter it was VERY tight at first, but give it a few hundred miles...say 3 tanks of gas and it should be smooth and crisp

go to www.rotaryresurrection.com he, kevin landers is the guy who did mine, he has a complete write up about it. But yeah the fsm will tell you how to get to it, it is behind the plastic trim on the right side of the right foot well you need to pull thte plactic off and pull the carpet back, it is right there against the wall, just unplug it. everything will go back to normal, except your idle might steady out at 1500 or so and you'll need to adjust it down if i remember correctly

ok so its beind where i took this picture of? it seems pretty hard to get at (pulling the carpet back woudl involve more than just taking the small panel off) just want to confirm it
