Check ecu error code would be a good start.

I noticed that when my tps was adjusted to 3000K as opposed to the 1000k that it is supposed to be set at, the engine check light would go on from time to time.

With a short burst of acceleration, it would go off for while.

So, I guess......see if your tps is set to 1000K

I finally know how to do this now so let me know if you have any questions.

Is there a way to check the ecu code without a special checker? Also, I have a similar problem but it just dies and idles rough, the check engine light doesn't come on. Is there a need to check the ecu codes if the check engine light isn't on?
