idle problems
I am selling my 1987 RX7 non-turbo. The car ran fine. I parked it and put the for sale sign in it. The car sat for about two months. My wife stopped down and started the car and let it run for a little bit. A week later we had someone interested in buying the car. He wanted to hear it run and test drive it. The weather was very cold at this time. The car would not start. It sounded like it was not getting fuel.
I pushed the car inside a heated garage and left it over night because I thought it was fuel line freeze up. The car still would not start. I replaced the fuel pump and filter. It still will not start and it is getting fuel. It will fire and try its best to start. I am getting spark from both coil packs.
I did an oil change, replaced all spark plugs, and put in a new air filter. The car now starts but wont idle. When the car attempts to go down to idle speed it stalls. Also when I put the car in gear it will stall. As long as I keep my foot on the accelorater it will stay running. I have to keep the rpm's between 2000-3000. Any suggestions on what to do from here?

You might check your coils.. Take a timing light to the Trailing and Leading plugs and see if all of them are running.. My car's not quite as bad as yours is with dieing all the time, but sometimes it stalls out.. and my trailing coil I beleive is gone (get no light-up from the timing light)
