Idle Problem ( Woo Hoo :[ )

88 SE

This is basically the last problem with my car. AFter this is fixed, the car is running PERFECT.

My idle seems to be a bit weird at times. Here is what's happening:

Cold Start: Most of the time, the car will start, rev up to about 2-3k for a second, slowly rev down to about 1k, then die. I have to re-start again, then give it some gas to keep her running.

Right after a cold start, she idles around 1k, maybe a tad above.

After she is warm, she ides perfectly.

When idling, if I press the brake down, the idle goes down. Also while idling, if I turn on the heat full blast, the idle goes down.

I'm not sure if all of the above is caused by the same problem. If it was, that would be great news.

Please help me fix this.

Thank you for your time.

1) Make sure your charging system is working good. (alt, etc...)
2) Clean/test BAC valve.
3) Check for any vacuum leaks

Some basics.
The rotary engine's torque falls off sharply near idle.
Any variable load during idle will pull the revs down.
Nearly half the stuff on the intake is just to maintain idle speed.
The key part is the BAC valve.
It's like a continuously variable air bleed.
The suggestion above is right on..

I "tested" my BAC valve the other day. The method where you connect it to the battery to see if it clicks. It did.

I should see how many ohms though. :|

Thx guys.
