idle problem at start-up and when clutch is depressed, and shifter shakes

after replacing my clutch my car is kinda weird.. At start-up it no longer revs to 3000 for that start-up thing, instead, it starts off at like 2000 and 80% of the time slowly drops down to the point where it stall, unless i gas it up for the first 15 or so seconds, after which it goes away.... another thing is when my car is at idle, and i depress the clutch, it drops about 300 rpm, and jumps up and down around 50rpm, and while its doing this, the shifter is shaking (not too crazy) but enough to make me worried.... sometimes (Not to often) the rpms go from like 800 to 1200 to 800 and so on for about 30 seconds..... i only put 2l of tranny oil in the tranny plus whatever was left from in there that did not poor outta the driveshaft output seal (was thinking this may have something to do with it, doubt it though)... any idea to help me solve this would be appreciated

After replacing my clutch on my '87 non turbo, I had the same problem. What I did to was to adjust the freeplay on the clutch (pushrod on the clutch pedal). This didn't completely get rid of the "jump" but it did make it a lot less.

you may have disconnected your O2 sensor or any number of hoses or wires. Look really close.
While your under there, it would be a good time to change you tranny fluid to Mobile 1. Since you have to buy it anyway, you might as well change the fluid in the rear end to.

Mobil one tranny fluid on a 7 is bad idea. Too much sulfur, eat the brass syncros.
