idle problem please help

I have a 1991 naturally aspirated the car takes ten seconds to start and when it does idle sounds horrible and i thought the apex seals were toast so i did compression test and got 80 psi isnt that still decent because it is supposed to be between 90 and 120 right ???? what does the car do when the crank angle sensor goes out ???

The compression is good. You need to start off by making sure your TPS is set correctly to 1v with a multimeter and then check your timing, then set your idle. Also make sure you have clean spark plugs. If you finish doing this and are still having problems let us know....

Check your TPS by checking the resistance first. Make sure it is within spec. Then fully warm up the car and back probe the AB wires and set the adjustment screw next to the tps plunger until it reads 1v. You can search TPS in titles only to find more information.
