idle problem.. please help..

hey.. im still new at the rotary engines.. well at first my car would idle high when its cold (understandable) but when it got to hot to about the normally engine temp. it would idle way to low then turn off.... so now i adjusted a small screw under my inercooler...(hope it was the right thing to do) now my car idles fine at normaly temp but now doesn't idle when its cold... so i dont know what to do... i also tried turning the BAC valve... that didn't do anything.. this might sound like a stupid question but do you really need a tachometer when adjusting the idle?? also my car is running rich... some people say it could be my TPS sensor.. hopefully someone can help me out....

THANKS

dont mean to be an ***, but...

there are literally dozens of threads about idle. My suggestion is start from scratch and get everything back to stock, and go from there. Many many many many threads on how to do it

Cool This this easy steps to solve your problem

what' sup man I'm only 17 but I know a lot a bout how rotaries work
Hello, iight boddy rx7 specially 2nd turbo ll are very succeptible to vaccum leaks, it coulf be as simple as a hose that's lose or not the way it is suppoused to be, here's what to do, bring the car back to stock and under the intercooler there is a little screw or bold where you can adjust the throttle, use a hose from the CLEAN hose that comes from to turbo to the one that is on the intake to aviod taking off and putting on the intercooler every 5 mins, then check every single hose and make sure you plug them correctly and tight when you put the intercooler back on, otherwise it won't start, now the running rich proble could be something else I am not sure about that, check the oxigen sensor, this problem happens over and over on rx7's and my brother has one that had the same problem, follow my advice(if you wish) and see if you can solver your problems rotary engines are awesome but they are poor in some ways too, before trying to start the car again take off all the sparkplugs and crank the engine over so taht all the gasoline that wasn't burned doesn't floor your rx7, that should be all you need to do, I hope you can solver your problem buddy and wish u the best of luck!

IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS SEND ME A MESSAGE AND I WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP YOU!
