Idle Problem

Hey, every time I start my 90 GXL it has a different idle ranging from about 900-1500 RPM. And also if I turn on the AC, the idle drops and the car stalls...Any idea what could be going on? Thanks

Does the car surge until it is warmed up? Have you checked the TPS? How about the inital idle speed?

Turning the A/C on should activate a switch that tells the ECU to allow more bypass air to maintain idle speed, so, check your BAC & air bypass relay/ solenoid per the FSM...
