Idle Issue Question(s)

Finished replacing exhaust manifold on TII this weekend - Started first try, nice and quiet in engine bay now (its so nice to hear just the belts turning!).
Problem is now with the idle being too high and not being able to get it below 1200RPM with BAC valve adjusted to completely closed. Other than that it seems to run fine so far.

Things done were:
a) new manifold - no port actuation so both ports now full open to turbo 24/7.
b) new vaccum hoses where necessary.
c) sealed air inlet hose at turbo (big crack at union).
d) removed all ceramic from pre-cat.
e) new air supply hose to ACV (cracked and leaking).
f) Fresh oil, filter and coolant.

I am thinking that the P/O had everything set to compensate for the leaking exhaust manifold, plugged pre-cat, vacuum leaks and leaking air intake past mass air flow meter (AMM). It previously idled erratically and sometimes too low and rough but who could tell with the exhaust leaking sooo bad.
I am going to check the BAC by disconnecting but am wondering if there is anything I may have missed or that I can check and what may be causing this idle issue? Any and all thoughts welcome.
