idle and high rpm cut out

1990 rx7 N/A
First i am having problems with my idle is high. my idle screw is almost alll the way shut and the idle is at 1200rpm. and the idle is a little rough usually. i checked all my vacumm lines and all apear to be fine. EGR and MAF sensors are ok also.I checked them how the book told me to.

second, at around 3000 and 6000 when accelerating hard it will ocasionally cut out usually more in the first 20 min of driving on warm engine. i know this is when the 5/6 ports open. could there be something wrong with the ECU not putting mpre feul in quick enough when they open? i used to have the problem happen to me alot, but i had all my plugs and injectors changed and some bad injector wiring (i guess the guy b4 thought duct tape holds wires together well) used feul system cleaner and said he adjusted my timing to normal.all that helped alot.

From what i can gather from personal knowledge and the haynes book i think its a timing issue still.

i need some advice its getting more and more annoying.but i love my car so ill keep it

the cutting out might possibly be dirty injectors or a fuel filter or pump issue

I'm having a similar problem, but possibly from different issues. The high idle I think is related to a vac leak (I also haven't recalibrated the variable resistor once I put the new engine in). My hesitation I think is due to a spark problem.
One thing that could cause your problems is a bad TPS. Check the resistance of it to make sure it is within spec, also check it to see if there are any dead spots. There are instructions in the FSM (check FAQ for links).
