Identify parts

Can someone please help a noob identify these parts.
The engine came with pipes chopped off so I'm not sure what is what.

Image 1
Pipe 1: I thought it may have been water related but the inside is too clean.

Pipe 2: About 1/4" ID which I'm guessing is the vacuum line to the ABV.

Pipe 3: Tiny ID - not sure what it's for.

Image 2
There is a single pipe coming off the intercooler down to the manifold (marked 4) which I assume is to make air bypass the throttle body to increase the idle.
Is the solenoid called the "Air Bypass Solenoid Valve"?

Question 1:
If I remove the BAC valve must I keep the water line connected that heats it?
It connects to the throttle body and I assume is the drain back to the water pump.

Question 2:
Where the heck is the EGR valve?
I looked at the pics on rotary resurrection and I don't see one on my J-Spec S4 Turbo engine. Did the J-Spec engines not have an EGR valve?
I'm referring to this photo :

Thanks

Pipe 1: As a guess that's the vaccume line to the JDM brake booster since I don't see the nipple for that where the A-spec engine have it.

Pipe 2: Yes I believe your right

Pipe 3: You might have to trace it back to its origin to see where it goes.

4: Can't tell from that pic

5: That is the Air supply valve

Q1: If you want your fast idle cam in your TB to work then you need that water line connected. If you remove the BAC valve you can just run the line stright to the TB.

Q2: The pic you posted shows the EGR valve removed and blocked off.

Ok - I'll block that off then.

If I had an RX-7 to trace it on. This is an engine that has been pulled and is going into a bug so I have nothing outside of the engine to trace hence all my noob questions.

When you speak of fast idle cam I assume it's activated by the thermowax pellet which is heated by the water. At least I think it's the thermowax pellet. (It has a water hose connected from the block to the base of it and has a shiny piston pointing upwards that opens the throttle a bit.)

Just found out that the J-Spec engine has no EGR valve on it. No wonder I couldn't find it! The manifold doesn't even have a protrusion in the casting for one.

I mean trace it back on the engine. It looks like that line just goes into the rat's nest (the big clump of hard lines that goes under the UIM). You will have to find out where that end goes.

If you are using an aftermarket engine management system then it can probably be blocked off. If your using a stock management system, you should try to figure out where it goes.

Yes, that's correct.

If you block off the fitting, how does the brake booster work?
